Substantial progress continues to be made on our Santa Barbara Apartments project in Chino Hills with Western National. The offsite storm drain, water and sewer work is nearly complete, and onsite work is proceeding on schedule as expected. Western National will begin trenching for the first phase of homes in early June, while we expect to be complete with our underground sewer, water, storm drain, recycled water and fire water before then.  Our crews have done a terrific job installing the ConSpan detention systems, so check out the video of their installation below! These two systems were installed by our crew in a day and a half, a terrific CAN-DO job by all.  Like all projects, this one does come up with some unique challenges. Due to the proximity to Chino Hills High School, Boudreau Pipeline worked during limited daytime hours due to high traffic in the area.  With safety paramount, we completed 1,000 LF of offsite 24” RCP in difficult conditions including saturated soil at the corner of Butterfield and Soquel Canyon.  We had additional challenges with water, sewer and storm drain connections on Pomona Rincon Road, as it is the main entrance for the High School, all connections have been completed in a timely manner to the satisfaction of the City of Chino Hills.  We continue to work onsite with Western National to meet their deadlines for model and phase 1 opening of the project. Our Foremen and their crews routinely beat projected production rates, always willing to do what it takes to get the project done early and under budget. We are a professional pipeline team!
